Turban Obsession!

The origin of the turban is unknown. 

The turbans are worn by Western women as a fashion accessory. In the 60's, they have been popular, but were not bound in the same way as men, attached to the front of the head. Using long scarves, they first tied the ends in front of the head and then, passing the ends over his forehead, bound-in neck. 

The use of turbans triggered hostilities and even some crimes in the United States of America as a result of the attacks of September 11, 2001, since the Americans began to list the people who wore turbans with the Muslim religion.

Os turbantes  são usados pelas mulheres ocidentais como  acessório de moda. Na década de 60, eles foram  populares, mas não eram amarrados da mesma forma que os dos homens, presos à frente da cabeça. Usando longos lenços, elas primeiro amarravam as pontas à frente da cabeça e, a seguir, passando as pontas pela testa, prendiam-nas na nuca.

O uso de turbantes desencadeou algumas hostilidades e até crimes nos Estados Unidos da América, em consequência dos atentados de 11 de setembro de 2001, uma vez que os estadunidenses passaram a relacionar as pessoas que usavam turbantes com a religião muçulmana.

Arm of Waves!

It's so good being on vacations and walk through my city. I'm from Leiria and I love my city . My favorite image is to pass the bridge over the Lis ( river) and look at the castle high up on the hill. Illuminated at night, but also  impressive at day! Later I'll show you what I mean.

Que bom que é estar de férias e passear pela minha cidade. Sou de Leiria e adoro a minha cidade e aconselho a visita a quem não conhece . A minha imagem favorita é passar pela ponte sobre o Lis e olhar para o castelo lá no alto do monte . De noite iluminado , de dia também não perde a imponência! Mais tarde, mostrarei do que falo.

Hoje quem me tirou as fotos foi uma grande amiga minha , a Vanessa .

Starting my Holidays with Blue!

I'm sorry for these last past days without posts but, I had to study for my exams . Friday my holidays had officially started. I'm so happy and anxious for  the festivals, night outs with my friends , beach time, trips and having fun!

Yesterday I chose to wear this blue turban I improvised and I'm in love with this kind of head pieces.

Peço desculpa pela falta de posts na última semana mas, tive de estudar arduamente para os meus exames. Sexta-feira, as minhas férias começaram oficialmente. Eu estou tão feliz e ansiosa para as festas, saídas noturnas com os meus amigos, o tempo de praia, viagens e por divertir-me a sério!

Ontem usei este turbante azul  que improvisei e  estou apaixonada por este tipo de head pieces.
